Busy, busy, busy!
Sunday is winding to a close. It's 8:30 p.m. here and I have to say, it's been a long week. Satisfying, but long.
I spent the day watching Stargate SG-1 episodes, wrapping up season 6. I also delved into Chapter 11 (finally!) and started work on the next portion of the book. I rough-drafted an article for Green Diva Mom today, as well as prepped myself for another week of article work towards the project that I started at the first of the month. I also refined my schedule for the next few weeks so I can absolutely be sure to get in novel writing as well as my freelance work. And on top of all of this, I refined my diet course for the next month to continue my fitness regime.
Whew!
April is looking to be very fun. We have a lot of side projects coming up. We need to bleach and scrub the balcony, as well as strip the paint on the railings so we can re-paint towards the end of the month. We have a box we bought for her crafting supplies that we need to paint and crackle. We have more plants that need re-potting, and we also have to buy a few new rail-planters to finish filling the entire length of our balcony railing. I also plan on getting my sourdough bread starter going next week, just as soon as I can find time to get to the store and finalize my choice of flour.
The hardest part? I'm actually looking at getting back onto a "normal" schedule. For the past year or so I've been very much living on a "work when I feel like getting out of bed" schedule. For the most part that means getting up around 8 or 9, browsing for an hour or so, working out, showering, breakfast, browsing...and finally starting work around 11 or 12 and working for 2-3 hours. Yeah...that ain't working for this month. So I'm going back to the old-school "real job" schedule to maximize my time and insure that I get a chance to work on all the projects I have going, instead of being a lazy work-at-home individual, which is soooo easy to do when you don't have a boss breathing down your neck about 15 minute breaks and only 30 minutes for lunch and how you need to be in your cubicle when the clock strikes X.
So now I get to train myself into hitting the sack at a reasonable hour. I.E. before the a.m. hours. I'm hoping to be in bed by 11 or 12 every night and will be getting up at 7 a.m. to an alarm (cry), having a light breakfast, working for 2 hours, then breaking to work out + shower, then finish up my deadline projects by noonish. Then I will break for an hour or so in the early afternoon and do novel work in the mid-late afternoon. Then it's time for side-projects with Evy in the evenings for a few hours, and when she works on her blog + crafts I'll be sneaking in some time to do Demand Studio articles.
Btw for those of you who haven't heard of them, or are wondering...yes, they are a great place to work. I started last week. They pay weekly via Paypal, and the pay is relatively good. I'm averaging 25-30 USD per hour on the projects I've done for them so far, and I'm pretty sure that with some further refinement I can increase my hourly rate to 40 USD per hour. It's a great way to earn a few hundred extra dollars per month for a relatively low time investment, and there are literally thousands of projects to choose from.
So that's my blurb for the weekend. I'm going to go work on an article now and then start watching episodes of Season 7 of Stargate SG-1. I'm trying to get through season 10 this spring so I can then start Stargate Atlantis. Oh, and btw...new season of the Tudors airs tonight! Can't wait to catch it. And Fringe starts up again in a day or so.../drool
