I skipped work yesterday so I had to make up my quota this afternoon. No big deal, really. Still had plenty of time to go out for a walk, make chicken quesadillas for lunch, watch a movie, enjoy the day, and order pizza for dinner, all while planning our next few weekends.
Easter in Bulgaria falls on the weekend AFTER it hits in the US, due to the orthodox calendar they use. Don't ask me...some religious thing. Everyone has their own version of when, and of course every OTHER religion is "wrong". In either case, the big family get together is next weekend, rather than this. So I didn't get to enjoy a big feast. But we made our own, so it's all good :)
We talked blinds today. Also sheets for the new bed, which is getting delivered on the 21st, I think. Or maybe it was the 23rd. I'll have to ask her again. In any case, we need to go shopping next week for those two things. Then around the first of May we are going shopping for a desk + a chair for me. Curse of spending your savings on moving overseas and taking over a year to get re-established financially is that you have to make some things work regardless, and we've been sharing a desk for over a year now. She gets one corner, I get the other. It's rather comical, and crowded, but we've made do.
My problem is I can't focus on my novel work when she's sitting right next to me. Something about being self conscious about someone reading my work while it's being written totally throws me out of my vibe. Not only that, but I'm starting to increase my workload by leaps and bounds as I line up more and more clients, and I just need my own space. And we are finally able to afford blowing the extra money to go get it. So that's first of May.
Anyway, I'll have to work a few extra hours this week to prep for the weekend, as we won't be around much on Saturday and Sunday, and even if we are home it'll be "omfg don't touch me cuz I ate so freaking much last night/yesterday" and vegging. I'll write more when I have time. Peace!
