I traded chapter work for short story work today. Had a great idea in bed the other night, and I pushed it about halfway this evening. Should finish it up tomorrow, and push chapter 10 to completion by the end of the week. That will be past the 70k mark in my book, and slightly over 30% done. So about 8% per month, working on it part-time, 10 hours or so a week.
I also have two new jobs/clients to add to my list this evening. I got accepted to write in the Food and Drinks section over at www.greendivamom.com, so I'll be doing a few articles per month over there detailing "Green" recipes and food/drink discussions. My resume also went through over at Demand Studios, and it looks like I'll be using them as filler. After I set up my profile and such I spent about 15 minutes browsing jobs and found nearly 2 dozen that I could write on, which means I should be able to double my part-time income starting next month.
All in all, it was a productive and exciting new day. 2009 is shaping up to be a great year.
