My wife recently began to expand her love of craft-related interests with a new-found passion for blogging about it. As we move into 2009 we are working on upgrading our new home with plenty of gardening projects, and she is learning how to knit. Additionally she has been working on creating knick-knacks, such as button brooches and little trinkets for fun and show. You can find her blog linked over on the right, and I urge you to browse for the fun of it, or if you want to learn something new. She is far more photo-opportunistic than I am, and provides detailed photos of her most recent projects.
I've been debating taking up leather working as a side project. The problem is finding the time. I do 3-4 hours of freelance work each day, along with 2-3 hours of personal projects such as my book and short story writing, and when you add in an hour-long workout, cooking and housecleaning (my sister lovingly refers to me as the house-bitch, since I'm the one who takes care of all the house work while my wife is at class and work), I find myself without a lot of free time. Still, I'm debating it, and it's been added to the list of thing I'd like to work on in 2009.
Problem is, that list also includes learning to play the guitar, more ballet and opera venues, travel plans, and light reading. There needs to be more than 24 hours in a day!
