Burnout

The last month or so has seen my blog's content go down in quality (as far as I'm concerned). I haven't had much time to post more than random updates on my work/projects, whereas a couple of months ago I was able to expound in greater detail on such things as the global economy, adjusting to a new culture, politics, and so on and so forth.

The reason? Burnout.

As in, I'm burned out. I've got so many irons in the fire that I don't always have the energy to post on my blog, at least not in the sense that I make "meaningful" posts. Between work, e-mails, fiction writing, and the few gaming forums I stay active in (Lord of the Rings: Online, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Stargate: Worlds), I just don't have as much time to dedicate to my blog as I used to.

I still want to continue with the "good stuff" so...we'll see if I can't get a couple of more interesting posts up over the rest of June.

I need to continue my exploration of Bulgarian wines, for one. These are absolutely a hidden secret of Bulgaria. I'd like to discuss games and gaming protocol in greater detail, and of course there is my ongoing Mediterranean Diet project with my wife (I think I'll be down to 70 kilos/155 lbs by the end of June, which is around my "target" weight; I'll be going beyond that if my body decides it wants to. Our goal is to transition fully to the Mediterranean Diet from here on out. So far, we are doing an admirable job, although I think I have to work on the siesta part of it a bit more :) I don't take many naps in the afternoon anymore!)

Anyway...hope you all can bear with me :) Life here is swinging, and we've got lots of irons in the fire. Cheers!
